PU Raw-Material Price Update: What It Means for Your Wheels and Rollers

BASF announced on 11 September 2026 a US$250 per metric tonne price increase for its Lupranate® MDI basic products and TDI across ASEAN and South Asia. The adjustment applies immediately, or as existing contracts allow, following higher raw-material, transportation and energy costs. Read BASF’s announcement.

What does this mean for customers?

These chemicals are used in polyurethane (PU) production. Higher input costs may therefore put pressure on future prices for PU wheels, rollers and recoating services, depending on the materials and suppliers involved.

This does not automatically mean an immediate increase in KSW’s selling prices. The actual impact will depend on supplier pricing, available stock and product specifications.

For upcoming purchases or maintenance, we encourage customers to:

• Confirm the latest quotation and its validity.
• Share quantities, specifications and required delivery dates early.
• Discuss whether PU recoating is suitable for existing wheels or rollers.
